Image Style Combination Compatibility

The following table shows the compatibility of styles pairs. In most cases you can combine more than two styles (often up to eight), but the combinations are too numerous to mention.

The symbols below are not evaluating the aesthetic appearance of the style. You judge what is beautiful and what is not. The symbols refer to technical excellence and whether styles can work together without creating problems in the display.

Full compatibility. Both styles can be visible 100% together.

One of the two styles overrides partially or completely the characteristics of the second style but without creating appearance problems. The two styles work fully when they are used in different state (one style applies on normal state and the second applies on hover state) but they continue to override each other's characteristics.

The two styles can work together without appearance problems when at least one of the two styles is specifically parameterized.

The two styles can not work together. Disable one of them to avoid appearance problems.
